July 22, 2008
Buddy is our 5 year old Min Pin/Shih Tzu cross that we rescued from a puppy mill where he was a breading dog, and Gauge is our 5 year old purebred Min Pin that we have had since he was 8 weeks old.
We first contacted Wayne at Dogzies in February 2008 after hearing about Dogzies from one of the DJ's at the local radio station. We had Wayne come into our home to do an assessment of our two dogs as our first child was due to be born in 3 months.
Our concern with our dogs is that they would be a danger to our daughter as Buddy shows severe people and animal aggression and Gauge has picked up Buddy's bad habits. We have been unable to have people come to our home or take the dogs into public due to the aggression. We had taken Buddy to other animal professionals and they had advised us that the best solution was to put him down.
Wayne did his assessment and gave us some basic commands to work on. By the end of the 90 minute session we were able to walk our two dogs next to one of Wayne 's dogs without any problems. This was our first breakthrough in 3 years.
We sent Buddy to stay with Wayne at Dogzies for 3 weeks. When Buddy came home he was calmer and more easily controlled. It was hard on us to miss one of our family but the results were there.
We have since been able to take the dogs camping and we have had people come over to our house without any issues. The dogs have also been able to accept the addition to our pack with the arrival of our daughter Evelyn.
We cannot thank Wayne and the staff at Dogzies enough and we recommend them to anyone that wants to make a change with their dog.
Sincerely,
Pete & Jenn Silkin
