Dog Training Testimonials - Page 5

July 22, 2008

We rescued "Bailey" a Lab/Rottweiler cross from a local shelter and brought him home to introduce him to our cat ("Cinder", rescued two years earlier.)   Unfortunately, he was obsessed with cats, squirrels, bunnies, other dogs, he would chase anything that moved.  He was literally uncontrollable.  We decided to take him to obedience classes with a local trainer and he learned to sit, stay, and lie down, but nobody could help us with the chasing and the fixation with the cat.  When we told our trainer about the problem we were told that the only answer would be to get rid of either the cat or the dog.  We didn't see that as an option, so we kept them separated, the dog downstairs and the cat upstairs.

Needless to say Bailey started showing signs of stress by chewing, barking, and aggressive behavior.   We resigned ourselves to dividing our time between the pets until we read a newspaper article about Wayne and Dogzies.  The article mentioned that Wayne also had dogs that others had given up on and he was so passionate that any dog was trainable that we gave him a call.   Wayne came over to our house for a consultation, and the first thing he did was take Bailey for a walk to assess his behavior.  We were encouraged when Wayne explained to us the reasons for Bailey's behavior.  Within an hour Wayne had our dog and our cat together in the same room for the first time, calm and lying down.  He explained training exercises for us to use with both the cat and the dog.  We followed Wayne's advice and soon Bailey and Cinder became best friends.  Now they play and roll around, and even sleep cuddled up together.  We were so impressed with the results that we enrolled Bailey in all levels of training provided by Dogzies including the tracking classes and adventure walks.

Since discovering Dogzies, we have never been happier.  All of Bailey's bad behaviors have disappeared, we can enjoy both our pets being together in the house, we can take Bailey for walks without him pulling and chasing other dogs or cats, we take him to parks, hiking, camping and even on vacations with us.  We have seen the change in our dog, and we have seen the changes in other clients dogs in the classes.  There is no challenge that Wayne will not face.  We can't imagine having a dog without having Dogzies.

Sincerely Barrett and Lisa Lawrie (and Bailey and Cinder too.)
